Basildon Mental Health Fund
Key priorities and preparation for community organisations considering an application.
What the fund supports
The council lists priorities including reaching vulnerable or isolated groups, improving access to mental-health services, helping people re-engage with community life, reducing stigma and discrimination, supporting dementia initiatives and building resilience.
The form also asks whether the project tackles wider health inequalities or obesity alongside mental wellbeing.
Evidence and documents
Applicants are asked for a full project description, consultation with potential beneficiaries, lasting benefit, volunteer opportunities, inclusion and value for money. A completed council budget sheet and a recent bank statement are required.
Plan the timetable
The council says assessment can take up to 12 weeks and a project must not start before then. Read the current guidance notes before applying, as this is a discretionary fund and requirements can change.
This guide is an independent plain-English summary. Always use the organisation’s current page for final times, eligibility and application details.
