New research highlights the need for affordable workspaces, skills and places to rehearse.
Essex County Council has shared research into how the county can support its creative industries. The report looks at the spaces and skills needed by people working in areas such as film, television, games and the arts.
Priorities include affordable workspaces, flexible studios, rehearsal spaces and hubs where people can develop skills and businesses. Witham-based games developer Dlala Studios is one example highlighted in the announcement.
The report sets out opportunities for future development. It does not mean every proposed space is already available or that a grant scheme is currently open. Follow the council’s source link to explore the findings.
