Upcoming open events can help young people compare courses and ask questions before applying.
Thinking about college or an apprenticeship? Essex Youth Service’s South Essex opportunities page lists upcoming open events to help young people explore their options.
South Essex College events are listed for 20 October at its town-centre site in Basildon and 10 November at Stevenson Road, Basildon. The page was updated on 7 October 2026.
Check the college’s link for times, booking and any changes before travelling. If you are not in education, employment or training and need help choosing a next step, the Youth Service also lists a Thursday drop-in at Southernhay Youth Centre, from noon to 3pm.
